Sustainability Performance of Voided Concrete Slab Using Waste Plastic Bottles

The present study is aimed at investigating the cost assessment of incorporating waste plastic bottles in manufacture voided concrete slabs; assessing depth ratio vis-à-vis reduction energy consumption and CO2 emission obtained by evaluating impact on embodied emission. was conducted five types slab specimens made: (1) conventional solid specimens; (2) incorporated with 5% air-filled bottles; (3) 10% bottles. Slab size 1000×1000×150 mm thick 0, 5, were considered for analysis sustainability respect to cost, energy, savings. As part findings, it revealed that incorporation into slabs results a volume concrete. Again, using recycled saved money, but each percentage used, additional materials (plastic bottles, chicken wire, etc.) labour needed, which added cost.
